Community Ed
An important function of Extended University is a way for CSU Channel Islands (CI) to meet the needs of the community by offering programs to better serve the Ventura County area. There are three different ways you can take advantage of university level courses without applying to the university.

If you are an employer and want to train your employees on a particular matter, we can customize a program for your employees by working around your schedule and coming to your location.
Open University is an opportunity for those not enrolled into CSU Channel Islands and who would like to take CI courses. You may apply up to 24 units of credit towards a baccalaureate degree at CI through Open University.
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI)
These classes are for seniors 50 or older who want intellectual enrichment without having to worry about homework and tests. These courses are non-credit and are for the sole purpose of learning.
