Undergraduate Programs

Students in the Santa Barbara area are now able to earn a baccalaureate degree from CSU Channel Islands right in their own backyard. Degree completion programs are offered on either the SBCC Campus or CI’s Goleta Campus. Effective fall 2015 second BA/BS degrees will be offered through Extended University.

BS Business  Offered through CI’s Martin V. Smith School of Business & Economics, the BS Business program has a liberal arts and interdisciplinary focus. Students learn the fundamental principles of accounting, economics, finance, information systems, management, and marketing as applied in a variety of organizational settings. A distinguishing feature of the program is the requirement to take courses developed in conjunction with disciplines outside the traditional business curriculum such as biology, chemistry, education, English, fine arts, history, and performing arts. Classes are held on the SBCC campus year-round in an accelerated format that allows students to complete the degree in two years or less.

Students admitted to the BS/BUS-to-MBA program are secured a place in the MBA program as long as they maintain a 3.0 GPA in the undergraduate segment of the program and begin the MBA program immediately upon completion of the BS Business degree segment.  Classes in the BS Business segment are held weekends, year-round on the SBCC campus.
