Summer 2023 Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition

Summer tuition is based on number of units and academic standing. Nonresident and International students must pay the resident fees plus $396.00 per unit 

Campus Fees

In addition to tuition, the following amount of campus fees are assessed. Campus fees are mandatory for all sessions, including online course offerings

  • Enrolled in either Session 1, A, or B: $124.00
  • Enrolled in only Summer Session C: $248.00
  • Enrolled in two or more sessions: $248.00

Payment Deadlines

Tuition is due by the below dates and based on when enrollment takes place. Students who have not paid for tuition by the respective session deadlines are at risk for disenrollment. Payment tutorials can be found on Student Business Services website

  • Summer Session 1 (May 30-July 14)
    • Enrollment from 3/27/2023 – 5/16/2023: Due 5/23/2023
    • Enrollment from 5/17/2023 – 6/6/2023: Due 6/6/2023
  • Summer A (May 30- July 5)
    • Enrollment from 3/27/2023-5/16/2023: Due 5/23/2023
    • Enrollment from 5/17/2023-6/5/2023: Due 6/5/2023
  • Summer B (July 10-August 11)
    • Enrollment from 3/27/2023-6/28/2023: Due 7/5/2023
    • Enrollment from 6/29/2023-7/17/2023: Due 7/17/2023
  • Summer C (May 30- August 9)
    • Enrollment from 3/27/2023-5/16/2023: Due 5/23/2023
    • Enrollment from 5/17/2023-6/12/2023: Due 6/12/2023

Other helpful notes

  • Please view the Summer Refunds page for information related to tuition reversals for dropped courses
  • Open University tuition information can be found on the Open University webpage
  • There is a $25 late registration fee for courses added after the open registration period
  • There are no payment plans available for Summer session
  • Textbooks are not included in instructional fees
  • Some courses may require lab fees
  • It is the sole responsibility of the student to follow proper withdrawal procedures should they no longer want to be enrolled in the courses(s)
  • If you are a recipient of outside tuition sponsorship, please submit tuition vouchers before the published payment deadlines

Fees are subject to change by the Trustees of the California State University and/or the campus President. The CSU makes every effort to keep student costs to a minimum. Fees listed in published schedules or student accounts may need to be increased when public funding is inadequate. Therefore, CSU must reserve the right, even after initial fee payments are made, to increase or modify any listed fees, without notice, until the date when instruction for a particular semester or quarter had begun. All CSU listed fees should be regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by The Board of Trustees. The fees listed here will be contingent upon the decision by the Legislature. These fees do not apply to special session degree credit courses and programs, or state-supported courses scheduled in the summer.
