Campus Based fees (subject to change)

  • Session A: $124
  • Session B: $124
  • Sessions A+B: $248

Note: Some courses may have additional lab fees. Fees are subject to change by the Trustees of the California State University and/or the campus President. The CSU makes every effort to keep student costs to a minimum. Fees listed in published schedules or student accounts may need to be increased when public funding is inadequate. Therefore, CSU must reserve the right, even after initial fee payments are made, to increase or modify any listed fees, without notice, until the date when instruction for a particular semester or quarter had begun. All CSU listed fees should be regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by The Board of Trustees. The fees listed here will be contingent upon the decision by the Legislature. These fees do not apply to special session degree credit courses and programs, or state-supported courses scheduled in the summer.

Payment in full for “self-service” enrollments (general registration for non-priority matriculated* students and non-matriculated** students) is due no later Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 4:45pm for Session A courses and Monday, July 1, 2019 at 4:45pm for Session B courses. Students who have not paid for classes by these deadlines may be dropped. For students enrolling after the above due dates, payment in full will be due immediately.

*Matriculated: Students admitted to and enrolled in any CI degree/credential/certificate program, in good academic standing in the Spring of 2019, and who did not graduate in Spring 2019.
**Non-matriculated: Students who are not admitted to or enrolled in a degree program at CSU Channel Islands.

Summer Financial Aid

  • The Summer 2019 term is the trailing term of the 2018-2019 academic year. Eligibility is limited to matriculated students who have remaining eligibility from the 2018-2019 award year.
  • Students interested in borrowing federal loans for the Summer must be enrolled at least half-time to remain eligible.
    • Undergraduate: Half-time is 6 or more units per semester
    • Graduate : Half-time is 4 or more units per semester
    • Any reduction of units could result in a reduction or cancellation of your financial aid, which may result in a balance due to the University and a hold placed on future enrollment.
  • The Financial Aid & Scholarships office must review Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), which occurs after Spring 2019 grades have been officially posted by the Records & Registration office. As such, financial aid may not be available at the time you enroll and you will be responsible for paying your tuition and fees prior to receiving your financial aid.
  • A 2018-2019 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required and must be submitted no later than June 30, 2019.
  • If a student is eligible for financial aid for the Summer 2019 term, the student will be notified of their Summer award eligibility via myCI student e-mail account.
  • Students must log in to their myCI Student Portal to complete all requirements on the To-Do list and to accept or decline their Summer loan award(s).
  • Students must meet the requirements of the CSU Channel Islands Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) policy for financial aid recipients to remain eligible for aid.
    • SAP will be evaluated at the conclusion of Spring 2019 to determine eligibility for Summer 2019 aid disbursement.
    • SAP will also be evaluated at the conclusion of Summer 2019 to determine eligibility for Fall 2019 aid disbursement
  • The payment of fees are the students’ responsibility. The payment due date for tuition and fees will be prior to Summer aid being disbursed. Any disbursement of aid for Summer 2019 will be treated as a refund.
  • Summer 2019 aid will begin to disburse on or afterJuly 5, 2019 once Spring 2019 grades are official and Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) has been reviewed.
  • Summer disbursements take place weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
