We are pleased to announce that Embodied Labs has provided us with a unique link to access their immersive learning materials tailored as part of our partnership to strive for 5000 participants from our CSUCI community and beyond. This link not only grants you access to a wealth of engaging content but will also allow for you to receive email confirmation of completed modules earning badges through the Embodied Labs Cal Grows caregiver training platform.
Types of Training Options
The following training options are available from self-paced through facilitated options online or in-person. If you are interested in facilitated options or have questions, please be sure to "request more information" and connect with us so we can align to your training needs.
Individual Web Immersion
- Self-paced 360-degree immersion learning. No VR headset is needed in this format,
rather material will be experienced through web immersive portal. Experience and reflection occur individually with facilitation materials.
*Please note: Embodied Labs has built the training to be best experienced using a desktop or laptop via Chrome browser. Phones and tablets do not provide a user-friendly interface for the experience.
Group Web Immersion
- Learners participate in a facilitated Zoom on a predetermined time/date. No VR headset is needed in this format, rather material will be experienced through web immersive portal and screen share. Reflective discussion occurs as a group via Zoom.
Individual Immersive VR Mode
- Great for organizations with centralized, physical, and training space locations. Each individual wears a VR headset to enter the most immersive mode. Reflection occurs with the facilitator 1:1 or in a group with others after the immersive experience.
Group VR Mode
- Great for organizations with centralized, physical, and training locations. The facilitator wears the VR headset, connecting the screen, allowing for immersive learning to occur with more people at the same time. Reflection occurs collectively in large or small groups.

We encourage you to explore the possibilities that Embodied Labs offers and integrate
it into your coursework this semester. Example activities and assignments have been
developed to provide suggested ways the platform can be integrated into your current
courses. By accessing the Embodied Lab assignment materials through Canvas Commons,
you can seamlessly incorporate these immersive learning experiences into your courses
without the additional time to develop Canvas course content.
