California State University Channel Islands and Cottage Health Systems offer two tracks toward a Bachelor of Science in Nursing  degree.  Track I operates through our Goleta campus in Santa Barbara County.  Track II operates through our Camarillo, CA main campus.  Both programs teach students to seek solutions to societal health needs and problems, understand demographics and disparities in healthcare, ethical concerns and global perspectives in the practice of professional nursing at the generalist level.

This Program is Ideal For:

Track I; Generic Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Pre-licensure) at College Health System/ Goleta Satellite Campus:  The program is designed for the entry-level pre-licensure student who is seeking a BSN degree.

Track II; ADN/ RN to BSN:  This program is for new or soon to graduate ADN students from a local Community College or individuals who hold their RN license and would like to obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

  Program Highlights

Track I; BSN, Goleta, CA

  • Track I operates through Cottage Health System (Goleta Satellite Campus).
  • Classes are taught in a state-of-the-art classroom and simulation site in Goleta, CA.
  • Students are admitted to the program each Fall. (Admitting next cohort Fall 2025)
  • Using a cohort scheduling model, this full-time program extends 2 years (6 semesters) including summers.  Students move sequentially, and as a group through the designated nursing courses.
  • Classes are held at 5383 Hollister Avenue Suite 220, Goleta, CA 93111.

Track II; ADN/ RN to BSN

  • Classes are offered at the CSU Channel Islands Campus through Extended University.
  • Students are admitted to the program each Summer.
  • Using a cohort scheduling model, this full-time program extends over 12+ months with one month of breaks interspersed during holiday periods.
  • Within this hybrid program, classes taught on-site are held at 1 University Dr., Camarillo, CA 93012.
