Refund Policy: Registration fees for paid events are non-refundable.
Waitlist Policy: Waitlists are specific to each event and do not carry over to future events. If you
are placed on a waitlist for one event, you will need to register separately for any
other upcoming events.
Piloting a Lottery System for Free, Drive-Yourself Tours
Beginning this Fall, OLLI will pilot a lottery registration system for free, drive-yourself tours. The goal is to make registration for our most popular events fairer and less stressful.
Please note: A current OLLI membership (Fall 2026 - Summer 2027) is required to participate in OLLI events, including events offered through the lottery system.
Why a lottery system?
We have heard your feedback about the frustration of trying to register for popular events that fill quickly.
With the lottery system, there is no advantage to being the first person to register. Everyone who enters during the designated registration window will have the same opportunity to be selected.
How will it work?
- During this pilot, the lottery will apply only to free, drive-yourself events.
- At this time, paid events will continue to be first come, first served.
- Current Fall 2026 - Summer 2027 members will receive an email announcing a 24-hour lottery entry window.
- You may enter at any time during the 24-hour window.
- You may enter the lottery as an individual or a couple. If you enter as a couple and are selected, both people will receive a spot at the event.
- Events using the lottery system will be clearly identified in our event announcements and on the OLLI events page.
How will participants be selected?
- After the 24-hour entry window closes, participants will be selected at random.
- If selected, you will receive an email offering you a spot and will have 24 hours to confirm your participation.
- If you are not initially selected, you will automatically be placed on the waitlist. As spaces become available, additional participants will be selected at random from the waitlist and contacted by email.
