How many courses are offered per year?

Each academic year, we offer four six-week sessions--two in Fall and two in Spring. Each session includes a variety of 3 and 6-week university-level, non-credit courses. We will also be piloting 2 and 4-week courses starting in Spring 2026. There is also one Taste of OLLI session each year in the summer where we offer 20-25 one-time, two-hour lectures.

How do I become a member?

The program is designed for individuals 50 years of age or older, but is open to any lifelong learner. An individual is considered an OLLI member upon enrolling in the $20 annual membership, which remains active for the current academic year. Presently, memberships remain active from Fall 2025 through Summer 2026. To enroll in your first class, call the OLLI office at 805-437-2748. It's as easy as that!

When and where are courses taught?

Fall and Spring courses meet once a week for two hours, Monday through Friday from 10 am-12pm and 1-3pm. Summer Taste classes are offered Monday through Thursday from 10am-12pm or 1-3pm. Courses are offered on the main campus of CSU Channel Islands, at Studio Channel Islands Art Center in downtown Camarillo, at the College of Law - Ventura Campus, and at Goebel Adult Community Center in Thousand Oaks. We will also be piloting two new locations in Spring 2026: Dos Vientos Community Center in Newbury Park and Pleasant Valley Community Center in Camarillo.
