Be an OLLI Volunteer
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) atCSUCI is always seeking volunteers to help create welcoming, enriching experiences for its members. Whether you can help for a few hours at one event or volunteer regularly, your time and talents can make a meaningful difference. No special experience is required, just a friendly attitude and a willingness to help!
Volunteers are needed to:
- Welcome members to classes
- Help ensure that classroom participants have signed in
- Assist with outreach by distributing catalogs in the community, helping at tabling events, and giving presentations to various organizations and services clubs
- Help create interesting and fun special events.
- Recommend class topics
- Help expand the number of amazing and qualified instructors
- Share ideas and suggestions that strengthen the OLLI program
- And more!
Curriculum & Program Development Team

The Curriculum & Program Development Team reviews the course proposals and recommends the instructors for each term. Input from many perspectives is important as we select interesting classes that draw new and returning OLLI students. Team members are always on the lookout for new and stimulating instructors – especially locally for our in-person classes. Have a question or want to know the current opportunities for volunteering? Please fill out our volunteer form here: Volunteer Request Form.
Events & Experiences Team

The Events & Experiences Team offers fun activities outside the classroom - both locally and far away. Want a walking tour of Ventura or a visit to the Gibbon Conservation Center? How about a personal tour of Getty Villa or trip to Iceland? We do that! Want an OLLI book club or gastronomic gathering? Almost anything legal is possible. Have a question or want to know the current opportunities for volunteering? Please fill out our volunteer form here: Volunteer Request Form.
Membership Engagement & Outreach Team

The Membership Engagement & Outreach Team is the lifeblood of OLLI. You can share your enthusiasm by telling others about the fun and value of OLLI classes or events. Tabling at local Health Fairs, you meet people who are yearning for social connections or intellectual stimulation. OLLI helps people stay vibrant. Distributing OLLI catalogs reaches out to grow our community. Have a question or want to know the current opportunities for volunteering? Please fill out our volunteer form here: Volunteer Request Form.
Volunteer Connections Team

The Volunteer Connections Team reaches out, learns members’ interests or talents and guides them to activities they might enjoy. Have a question or want to know the current opportunities for volunteering? Please fill out our volunteer form here: Volunteer Request Form.
OLLI Advisory Council
The OLLI Advisory Council is composed of volunteer leaders, including the Advisory Council Chairperson and Volunteer Team Chairs, who play a key role in supporting program operations. Together with their teams, they offer valuable feedback and recommendations for the program's growth and future direction.
