Allan Hancock College & Cal State Channel Islands BSN Pathway, A New BSN Pathway for Allan Hancock College Nursing Students
Allan Hancock College and CSU Channel Islands are partnering to help nursing students and alumni take the next step toward earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

CSUCI’s ADN/RN to BSN Track II pathway is designed for students who want a flexible, online program with strong support and a clear path to BSN completion. Students may complete the program in approximately 12–24 months, depending on their academic plan.

Why Choose This Pathway?

Waived Application Fee
Current and alumni Allan Hancock College students may be eligible for a Cal State Apply application fee waiver, helping reduce the cost of applying.

Streamlined Transfer
This pathway is built for Allan Hancock College nursing students, making the transition from ADN/RN preparation to BSN completion simple and clear.

Flexible Online Learning
Courses are offered online and asynchronously, allowing students to balance school, work, clinical responsibilities, and personal commitments.

Support Along the Way
Students receive guidance from CSUCI Extended University and nursing program staff, with support available virtually or in person.

Prepare for Public Health Nursing Career Goals
CSUCI’s BSN pathway includes supervised clinical hours in a public health setting. This is an important benefit for students who may want to pursue Public Health Nurse certification in California after becoming licensed RNs.

Completing public health clinical hours can support career goals in areas such as:
  • Public health nursing
  • School nursing
  • Community health
  • Case management
  • Health education
  • Population health
  • Local health departments and community-based organizations

For students interested in serving communities, promoting wellness, preventing disease, and expanding career opportunities beyond bedside care, this clinical experience is an important part of the BSN pathway.
